A Grand Feast

When we decided to check out Rio Grand at 5501 Northland

Drive in Grand Rapids, we had no idea that we were about to

receive a valuable lesson in the art of menu reading. Our

culinary adventure began with the Rio Sampler as our appetizer

of choice. Little did we realize that this seemingly innocent

selection would turn out to be a veritable feast in itself. If only

we had taken the time to peruse the menu more carefully, we

would have discovered that this delightful sampler included a

generous portion of their mouthwatering Cactus Flower,

tantalizing smokehouse ribs, loaded cheese fries, and

delectable chicken quesadillas. To top it all off, this culinary

masterpiece was designed to satisfy the appetites of not just

one or two, but three to four people! Needless to say, we left

the restaurant with our bellies full and our main courses neatly

packed for a future indulgence. The cherry on top of this

delightful dining experience was the presence of a truly

gracious server, who added an extra touch of charm to our

evening. Needless to say, our visit to Rio Grand was well worth

the trip, and we are already eagerly planning our return.
